The day before yesterday, our open day took place in bright sunshine. After two years of forced break, we could open our doors again for interested people and visitors. On this day there were all kinds of entertaining things. You could take a guided tour through the rooms of our association house or watch a video film about our work in pediatric oncology. In our in-house clay workshop there was a handicraft stand for our little visitors and the billiard room also invited you to linger. On the terrace one could have interesting conversations with coffee and cake or take a little break from the day. On this day, the music room was transformed into a small research room. Under the microscope one could look at different cancer cells and ask questions about the topic.
As in previous years, the open day is also used for donations. For example, we received a proud 15,000 euros from the Sparda Bank and the association "Blaue Nase hilft e.V." donated 2000 euros. The Tiffert family celebrated a milestone birthday this year and took this as an opportunity to collect money for our association. Thereby also 2000 euros were collected. Last but not least, the sauna guests of the company "medius GmbH" donated 336,23 Euro.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters, visitors and volunteers who helped us with the preparations and on this day, and also all the kind donors who once again did good for our association.
