Our request

A child's cancer requires long-term treatment. The therapy can take months to years and necessitates a large number of hospital stays - the University Hospital Halle (Saale) and the Kinderplanet become a temporary home for the families. Both facilities work closely together and are in constant exchange.

The association wants to help families with oncologically seriously ill children and do everything possible so that they can get through the difficult time well and return to their everyday lives sustainably strengthened. The focus is on the entire family, including all relatives. Support begins at the time of diagnosis and continues throughout the entire treatment period and into the aftercare phase. The team also cares for orphaned, grieving families and continues to accompany them.
